Any other info: Scott is 16 years old. He's known for being childish until the day his best friend Brendan is killed in order to save his life. Scott becomes Red Lizard to fulfill Brendan's last wish. His potential is stronger than Brendan's. He is not always certain how far his responsibility with the Beast Rangers will stretch. He is very devoted to both the memory of his friend and to the group helping the moon Goddess in her battle with the dark ones.

Any other info: He is an expert flute player. A very qualified sub-leader, his only weakness is tomatoes (although he fixes this through the series) and honey. He is rivals with Baronger after a sword battle. He had a love Vanessa, with whom he learned to play the ocarina, he carries something she had given him with him always. Baronger, who personally hates Isaac, created a doppelganger of Vanessa, which he used in a plan to attack him. It was hard and terrible, but he eventually overcame his hesitation and won the day.

Attitude: Mike is the youngest of the group, is completely obsessed with video games and buy strategy guides for games he doesn't own. He's a strategist and is good at measuring up a situation. Regardless of his rather laid back nature.

Even though he can be very childish at times, he hates to be treated like a kid. Mike is a gluttonous prankster. His favorite food is Mr. Doughnut's doughnut.

She recovered and went along well enough until the day she met an old friends teacher, Troy Becker. She thought this aspect of her personality wouldn't let him be a good Beast Ranger but at the end she even won Troy's heart.

She loves climbing trees.

[Totem of the Ocean]

Deep in Space standing alone on the surface of the moon. A figure watches the ebon skies. A soft glow from the light of the tellurian star shaping the ancient porcelain mask. The masked face stares out into the blackness looking for the slightest signs of movement amongst the heavens. Her eyes are well trained through the millennia that they have watched these same familiar skies.
Then, her eyes catch sight of it. Speeding towards the moon, a lone meteorite, it streaks past just as it began to near the Earth. The figure leaps as a ring of lunar dust is kicked up into space. She lands with great ease safely on to the surface of the shooting star. Dressed in a traditional kabuki actors garments, the robes rustle as the icy meteoric air rushes through them.
Goddess: Come out demon, I know you are here! (Suddenly a shadowy figure appears behind her. A gnarled cane flashes as the figures attempts to gouge out the others back. They slice through an after image as the Goddess sidestepped and has the scabbard of a katana pressed against the figures neck.)
Gaap: You are very quick Goddess; I'm impressed that you'd appear before me knowing the consequences of those actions. (She unsheathes the sword drawing it out very slowly.)
Goddess: I will not let you, Dark Ones, plague the Earth and turn it into your devil's playground!
Gaap: (with a snicker at the Goddess' comment) And I wouldn't have it any other way, taking this planet with no resistance would be just plain boring.

The figure is revealed to be a man, with a silver gleam to his skin. Six curved horns protruding out of his head resembling a twisted spider that is trying desperately to escape from his body, which is an armory of spikes and twisted flesh. A twisted vile looking blade forms pushing out from inside his arm. The clash of their steal lasts less than one second; the Goddess' robes are cut as she falls to one knee. The Dark One turns with a snide smile plastered on his smug face. But just as suddenly, a large cut begins to form across his chest. The two halves begin to be pulled off of the meteorite as his body disintegrates burning up like the water on their very battle stage. The woman with little effort leaps off of the meteor as it soars passing right by the Earth before disappearing into the blinding light of the sun. Feeling a deep somber begin to grip at her heart, she throws her arms outward. Five tiny spheres of energy fly outward and spiral towards the Earth that lay before her.
That is what was to be the beginning of the 20XX century with it; with this brief encounter an ancient clock commences the countdown to a long awaited moment. Five youths asleep below were to be drawn into the fray their lives forever changed. The fate of our ancestral home once again is placed in the crosshairs of another endless conflict.

In the city of Aurora.

Scott's Sister: Scott, get your ass up?
Scott rolls out of bed. Not quite awake yet he puts too much strength into his turn and ends up rolling out of bed. As he hits the floor he can hear his sister walking away from the door.
Scott: UGH... (As he pushes up off of the ground and shakes his head.)
Scott is a typical 16 years old. He has dark blonde hair and is fairly muscular for not being very athletic considering the La Crosse team was cancelled this year by his school.
Scott's Sister: (Calling from outside his room.) Scott, hurry up Brendan's here.
Scott: Oh! Shoot, tell him I'll be there in a minute! (As Scott quickly tries to rub the sleep from his eyes. He rummages through whatever is lying on his bedroom floor. Throws on some deodorant and rushes down the stairs to find his oldest childhood friend Brendan Stanley leaning his shoulder against the doorframe. He's yawning as he waves at Scott.)
Brendan: Mornin' Scott, d'you stay up late again? (As Colleen walks away partially glaring at her older brother.)
Scott: Yeah, the CN had a Family Guy marathon on; I had to watch it!
Brendan: Haven't you seen them all already?
Scott: Yeah, but you can never watch too much Family Guy.
Brendan: (He lets out a chuckle he stands and motions towards the outside.) Whatever, let's get going.
As they leave Scott's house, they walk out into the late May sun, a warm breeze rushes by as Scott's eyes fall to Brendan's car. The familiar bronze of his 1994 Buick LeSabre greets them. They both get in and Brendan begins their drive. Along the drive Scott notices a ring on Brendan's left thumb.
Scott: Hey, where'd you get the ring? (Brendan looks down at the ring as he switches his driving hand. He stares at it a look of nostalgic coming over his face.)
Brendan: Oh, it's nothing. Just a promise I made to someone. (He turns and looks at Scott a second. Then turning back to the road.) Scott, have you ever thought of what you want to do with your life?
Scott: Your not planning on becoming a counselor are you? (Scott said with a smile.) What do I need to think about? I'm only 15; there is plenty of time to think of what I want to do. Nothing if I could get away with it?
Brendan: Hey, speaking of age. Isn't today someone's birthday? (Suddenly, Scott began to come to the conclusion that took him a second to realize.)
Scott: Oh, I guess it is. I guess that I kind of forgot. (As he begins to laugh.) I guess it just hasn't been on my mind. (Brendan digs his fist into the side of Scott's head, the two of them are laughing.)
Brendan: What do you think about in that head of yours Scott? (He begins to laugh as Scott scoffs and folds his arms.)

At school, the day is like any other and Scott is feeling the effects from his lack of sleep the previous night. The entire day he had felt more then a drop in his enthusiasm. Not really feeling at all like actually being at school. Sitting in his mythology class, he felt as though he is in the thralls of the God Hypnos. He draws a picture of a large lizard with fire coming out of its back and mouth he draws this creature into the marginal pages of his textbook. Then whilst still in the throes of his ideal mind, drawing now large breasts and penises into the margins of his books, giggling to himself as he looks at his childish masterpieces.
In-between classes he sluggishly meanders from class to class in a sort of haze. His mind lingers on a dream he had the night before. The image of the crimson lizard still haunts his mind and he feels that it must be of some significance. Suddenly, a girl stops him as she waves him closer.
Liz: Scott? Hey, so I heard from Brendan that you're birthday is today. Too bad it's so close to the end of the year. You have any plans for tonight?
Scott: Nah, I don't think my parents even remembered, but then again that's typical. Why do you ask?
Liz: Oh, I don't know. I was just thinking that maybe we should do something. (Elizabeth Van Dyne is a 17-year-old, French/Latino junior at Aurora High. Scott has known her since she transferred to the school from a private catholic school. They both attend the school's chorus as their 7th period class. She's a little outspoken and considers herself an activist. Rallying for any case she can find.)
Scott: Seriously? Well, you'd be the only one. (Liz's waves as Brendan walks up to them, followed closely behind by Isaac Cain, the school resident Goth kid, he is also leader of the schools only gang they call themselves the Mournful Maniacs, he wears extra baggy clothing that hang on his thin body, his hair is spiked up garnering him the nickname Sonic the Hedgehog, but regardless is very popular and is quite the lady's man at Aurora High.)
Isaac: S'up Scotty. Heard from Brend that it's your b-day. (They share an uncomfortable silence and Brendan clears his throat.)
Scott: Yeah.
Brendan: Hey, Isaac, com'on leave him alone. He completely forgot today it was his day. I think I'll take him out, as long as our boss doesn't have any work planned for us? (Brendan, Isaac and Liz all shared an uneasy look at one another.)
Isaac: You know she never makes a schedule. When work comes up it comes up.
Liz: I was going to stop by later, actually. Check in with her, I'll call you guys if anything comes up.
Brendan & Isaac: All right, thanks. (Scott started spacing out as they began to talk to one another. Then he caught a glimpse of the girl of his dreams, Rebecca Billings one of the prominent artists in the graduating class of Aurora. She skipped a grade and began talking college courses at the beginning of last year. He had always had a slight crush on her, though he had reservations that it wouldn't work out since they've neither talked nor do they know little more then each other's name. Just then the last bell rang and the group said their goodbyes and dispersed. Brendan walks down the hall with Scott.)

Outside of Aurora a grotesque looking creature stands by the city-limit sign. Standing with its single eye staring unyieldingly at the city. As it lumbers forth, the only sound it makes is the earth crackling beneath its feet because it does not breath. Its body is large and lumpy like a potato, sharing that starch plants earthen color. A strange crest is etched in its chest. An upside down pentagon with characters circling it. An all-seeing eye is in the center of the downward pointing star.

High above Aurora atop the Iron Mountains of Giant's Ridge. Stands a cloaked figure. Surrounding by three bizarre men and woman. The figure pulls the cloak back revealing the horned figure of Gaap, though his face is withered and weak looking. The six horns that had proudly sat are reduced to four.
Gaap: Look at it. I've been forced to take seclusion in a mountain of iron, this prison, I WILL not be held here. I created you, and you know why... So you three to gather the material I need to summon the weapon that will pulverize these idiotic animals.
Mysterious guy #1: You mean that we will finally summon IT?
Gaap: Yes, Ad-Dajjal, I will summon the means to their destruction.
Ad-Dajjal: Anything you desire, my master. (Ad-Dajjal resembles a Goth rocker from the 1970's with a skinless skeletal head minus a jawbone, a Mohawk protruding from the top of the skull. He is dressed in tight leather jacket that goes all the way down to his mid-thighs.)
Mystery guy #2: What would you like Ziz and I to do, Master? (The 2nd figure is suddenly overwhelmed with an intense pain.) I... I'm... sorry... Master... I... was... foolish.
Gaap: Yes, you were. Buer, you and Ziz will be assisting Ad with his reconnaissance and collection of the materials needed to summon, It. (Ziz resembles a gothic Lolita doll with stitching thread for the most part binding her lips together, her eyes are black dolls eyes. Beur has the face of a lion with the body of a scarecrow, with mismatched arms held together by large stitches.)
Ad-Dajjal, Ziz and Buer: Yes, my Master. (As the three vanish from their master’s sight. He stands and sneers as he looks up to see the bright sunlight shining down on his wrinkled face. He quickly pulls his hood up and turns sulking back into his hiding place.)

School finished up for the day as Scott and Brendan walk out to the school's parking lot. Liz, Isaac and even Becky ended up tagging along with them as they walked out to his car. Though, Scott did not find that in the least bit weird. He knows that Brendan is far more popular then he is, and regardless of his nervousness around these people. Brendan is a great judge of character, so he would not surround himself with people who would hurt him or others. Regardless, a party should have more than two people anyway.
Scott: So where are we headed?
Brendan: Where would you like to go?
Isaac: I say, let's hit up the Tacora. I mean, their playing a movie that I wanted to see tonight and we can order pizza while we're there. Sounds like a win win and heck we can all chip in and treat Scotty.
Brendan: Actually, that sounds like a great idea! How does that sound to everyone else? Oh, Scott. Call your house and make sure your parents know what you are doing. (Brendan hands Scott his cell-phone) Hey, Liz weren't you going to go see the boss?
Liz: Oh, I talked to Fro. He'll be taking care of things. So I can pa~rty! (As she nudges Becky who smiles and goes back to reading her book. Brendan stops. The others continue on as Scott notices him and Becky talking about something. Isaac grabs him by the shoulder and directs him back towards the car.)
Isaac: You have to let the lovebirds have their moment. (Scott felt his heart skip a beat as a sinking feeling began to fill his stomach.)
Scott: (In his mind,) "So they're going out huh? Man, now she's just another untouchable." (Isaac seemed to take notice of his sulking look on his face, suddenly grabs a hold of his ears and begins to tug on them.) Ow-ow-ow-ow! Waddaya doin' that for?
Isaac: Cause you had a long face. (As he pulled on his own face, stretching it downward.) Now call your folks. (As he put on his serious face.)
Liz: Geez, Isaac, you're pretty out of character for being a gang leader?
Isaac: Shut up! Like, I'd need to fulfill some sort of stereotype, especially with a cause seeker like you. You're always spending time in detention for your shenanigans! (Brendan and Becky rejoined the group.)
Brendan: Shenanigans? How old are you, anyway? I think my grandfather still uses that phrase. (Everyone begins to laugh. As Isaac begins to stew. They all climb into the car with Becky sitting in between Scott and Brendan. They drive a few blocks and pull into the Tacora parking lot.)
The Tacora is a local movie-theater that was one of the last "silver screens" in the state, the theater also runs a pizzeria and sandwich shop part-time and if you order they'll deliver the pizza into the restaurant section of the theater. Everyone gets out of the car and walk towards the theater. They pay for their tickets and Isaac and Liz debate over the pizza toppings as the others go into the theater. They find a table suitable for the size of their party and quickly take their seats. Just as the lights begin to dim in the theater, Scott noticed that everyone around the table became very tense all of a sudden. Brendan nods his head, as the others seem to agree in silence. Scott leans over the table.
Scott: Hey, what's going on?
Brendan: Oh, someone, um, Michael just texted me. We're being called into work.
Scott: What? (As he pulls Brendan's phone out of his pocket) But I have your phone. (Brendan does not notice as he grabs the phone from him.)
Brendan: Sorry, I can't explain. (As he motions to everyone.) Come on, let's go. (As everyone suddenly gets up and leaves.)
Isaac: Hey, don't eat all the pizza! (As the four of them left the theater.)

The group run out of the theater and over to Brendan's car. As Brendan is about to touch the doors. They all suddenly stop themselves.
Brendan: Hey, wouldn't it be faster if we just changed and ran there?
Isaac: Probably. (Isaac said with a smirk.)
Liz: Eh, but wouldn't that be a waste of energy?
Becky: Not really? None of these Golem's have been very tough, even if we do transform we'll still have plenty of energy. (Brendan got a smile on his face. As they all flash the colored rings that they each are wearing.)
Brendan: Let's do it, then.
Becky: Let's go into the alleyway here so we don't arouse too many suspicions. (The four of them jog over to the alley.)
Isaac: Mike'll meet us there right? (Brendan nods his head.)
Brendan: He's en route as we speak. Let's do it! (As the four of them raise their hands up)
Brendan, Isaac, Liz & Becky: Grabbing at the vein of Life. (As each grabs a hold of a tiny thread of variant colors.) Calling to the heart of the Beast inside! (Each is shrouded in a different element. Brendan is engulfed in flames, Isaac is covered in water, Liz is swallowed by earth & Becky is draped in a thick wind.) Ha! (As the element is broken and each stands in a colorful outfit.)
Brendan: Alright, here we go.
Isaac, Liz & Becky: Right. (As they suddenly begin to run at a speed much faster than even a Olympic sprinter could manage. A colorful blur streaking through the streets.)

As the group comes onto the scene, they are in an abandoned junkyard. Stacks of crushed cars stand as modern obelisks to the throw away society. They find a member dressed in green already in bout with the dirt colored golem. He notices the others as he gains a second wind intensifying his efforts. The others unsheathe their side arms, the Beast Sword, a dagger that can grow into a full-length saber. Mike rolls under the its sword shaped arm. As he slashes at its legs. Leaving little more then a scratch.
Mike: No, good, this one's got reinforced skin. The beast swords do squat!
Isaac: Looks like it's up to me to finish this off! (Isaac spun the blade on his hand. He ran his hand along the length of the blade. The blade illuminating a bluish hue.) Stream Heartbeat! (As a surge of water fires out of the sword as a vein of water erupts out of the ground. Inside Mike's helmet he smirks, as he somersaults past him with a green glowing sword.)
Mike: Thunder Roll! (As electricity climbs the creature’s body. Liz and Becky charge forward with blade's illuminate.)
Liz: Earth Roar! (As she strikes the ground just before the creature large chunks of rock fly up from underneath it.)
Becky: Storm Flutter! (As Becky leaps through the knocked up rocks, she slashes it in the chest, a pink gale rushes over it twisting the golem around knocking it to the ground. The crest on its chest begins to glow as it begins to pick itself up. As Brendan calmly walks up, sword at the ready but then he stops and sheathes it.)
Brendan: You can tell that bastard sorcerer that he'll never succeed because the Beast Knights will always stop him! (As he raises his arms. Outstretching his cupped hands.) Fire... Tail! (A stream of flames launches out form his hands. Engulfing the golem in a rich crimson fire.)
Everyone: Gasp! (The golem comes leaping out of the flames, kicking Liz back it spins and knocks Becky up into the air then takes a stride forward and punches Isaac in the stomach, then twists around kicking Mike across the way into a stake of junk cars. Brendan is able to guard its first attack. The golem's Cyclops eye blinks as it begins to roll around in its head. Suddenly, its armor burst exploding revealing a lighter brown Golem. The sigil on its chest begins to illuminate as it begins to tower up towards the sky. Brendan quickly curses under his breath as the other beast knight’s surround him.
Brendan: Beast of the Rings. Come Forth! (Five animals appears before the five young knights. A red lizard, a blue crab, a green snake, a yellow wolf and a pink peacock. Each take out a smaller mechanical triangle. They hold them up to the sky as the animals disappear, reappearing a moment later as their gigantic mechanical forms. Appear before the knights, each leaps up into the air and lands on their animal counterparts. They are then absorbed into the bodies of their animals partners, falling into a sacred space they insert the triangle into a central pillar the pillar lights up and the animals come to life.)
Brendan: With the spirit of the Goddess, we knights go forth into battle! Knight combination! (The five animals disappear and in a bright flash a large humanoid figure appears before the large golem.)
The group in unison: United under the Goddess' Grace! Arch-Knight Tellur arm-up! (The five animals have now combined interlocking into a humanoid robot, a helmet appearing in the air the robot grabs it with both hands and pulls it over his face. The Giants eyes ignite in a gloriously bright green. The end of the snakes tail detaches and swirls around as the giant snatches it from the air and readies itself into its mighty battle position.)
The Golem lashes out attempting to disarm the robot, which moves effortlessly by the clump of dirt's clumsy attack. The Giant kicks the golem sending it rolling head over heels backwards. As the golem begins to recover the Giant is already on top of it as it's sword is charged and ready.
Beast Knights in Unison: Full-Assault! Tellur's Mighty Slash! (As a glorious cascade of light permeates the surroundings. The Sorcerer's seal on the Golem's chest illuminates and begins to ignite. The Golem taking aflame and burning into nothingness. A sigh of relief washes over the Beast Knights. Then a shock of energy surges through Brendan as he begins to feel a darkness fill him. He pulls his Beast Sword out of the control deck. The chamber washes over with light as the four beast knights watch Brendan take off back into town.)
Brendan: I'm heading back towards the city. I'm gonna go check on Scott. (As he runs off. The others quickly try to pick themselves up but are confronted by two figures)
Ziz: 'ello, monkeys!
Beur: Nice one, Zee. (Ziz smacks Beur in the arm.)
Ziz: Shut up! (Beur is holding two large tuning fork shaped weapons. Ziz holding what looks like a toy shotgun. She aims the gun and pulls back on the trigger. The four are bombarded by a gross of pellets; the excess energy explodes the Junkers. Beur steps forward and sniffs the air.)
Beur: Four down.
Ziz: One to go. (As they disappeared in a plume of smoke. Leaving the four Beast Knights battered and bruised.)

Scott walks out of the movie theater, the movie wasn't finished but he did not much feel like watching it alone. He carried an almost full pizza in his arms. As he looks around stepping out into the late afternoon sun. He sees Brendan's car still parked in the lot across the street. He crosses the street and walks over to the car, checks the door but quickly realizes that they are locked.
Scott: Well doesn't that just fit the bill? Thanks for the pizza guys... (Suddenly he is grabbed from behind and dragged into a nearby alley.)
Brendan: Scott! Scott!? (Brendan looks around and doesn't see anything.) I swear I just saw him? Where could he... (He turns and pulls a dagger from his belt, it grows into a full-length broadsword? He feels a gust of wind as he looks towards the alleyway a figure steps into the lights. Brendan gasps as his grips tightens on his sword handle.
Ad-Dajjal: Hello, Monkey, looky-looky what I found? (Scott squirms in Ad-Dajjal's grip.)
Brendan: Don't worry Scott. I'm here to save you! (Scott looks confused as Ad-Dajjal tightens his hold on him. Brendan takes a step forward and throws the sword at Ad-Dajjal's head. He counters by lifting Scott by his throat, halting Brendan in his tracks just as the tip of his blade presses into Scott's chest. Ad-Dajjal shoves him towards Brendan whose arm falls limp as he attempts to catch his friend. He turns and shoves Scott to the ground as he raises his blade, barely able to hold against his enemies attack.)
Ad-Dajjal: Give it up, Lizard-boy.
Brendan: Not as long as I serve her glory! (Brendan lunges as Ad-Dajjal parries his blow.)
Ad-Dajjal: That's funny. I think that you're working for the wrong power. Your Goddess is mad! My Master is the only power that should be obeyed! (as he increases the fervor in which he strikes at the Red Beast Knight. The two exchange unsuccessful attacks. All the while Scott is watching stuck to the asphalt with fear. Cars skid to a full stop as Ad-Dajjal turns now in a rage he swipes at the cars a flash of light streaks in the same line in which he swung the cars exploding. As the initial flash disperses the fire is being held back by what looks like Brendan himself.)
Brendan: What do you want? (Ad-Dajjal smiles as he picks up Scott, lifting him off of the ground by his throat.)
Ad-Dajjal: I don't want anything. Oh, right. I do want one thing. To return the honor to my master that was taken away by that bitch you call Goddess. (Brendan moved with unbelievable speed and punches Ad-Dajjal in the face, breaking his grip and pulling Scott away from him. Just then Ad-Dajjal thrusts his blade forward. Piercing Brendan right below the ribs, he lifts him up as the other end of his sword bursts out of his neck.) Stupid monkey, no one hits me in the face! NO ONE!
Brendan: (Who is beginning to cough says weakly.) Not like... it would, screw up your ugly face. (He begins to laugh as he is over come with coughs.) Fire Tail! (As Brendan ignites Ad-Dajjal in his crimson flame.)
Ad-Dajjal: Urrr-AGH! (As he tosses Brendan away from him. He hits the ground as he turns to cut at Scott. But just as soon as he begins to slash down at him, he is struck with a precise bolt of electricity. The four other Beast Knight's arrive on the scene to come on the horror of what happened. Ad-Dajjal had been long gone as the dust from the bolt settles.)
Becky: Brendan! (As she runs up to the Red Ranger, the fire flares around him and he returns to his normal self. Scott eyes are wide as he is pushed back as the others crowd around their wounded leader.)
Brendan: Scott, come here. (As a series of coughs raking his body. Scott pushes past the others and kneels next to him; he pulls the red ring from his right thumb and drops it into Scott's hands.) Become... Beast... Red. (Brendan head slumps back as the woman in pink begins to scream.)
Isaac: Give me the ring, kid! (A bright light encompasses the six of them. Now standing in a large hall, a room larger then any imaginable on Earth. A figure appears before them dressed in a Kabuki attire wearing the mask of an Oni. Removing the mask, revealing underneath the face of a beautiful woman. Overflowing black hair falls all around her face, which is as pale as a full moon on a cloudless night. She looks at Scott with eyes unyielding.)
Goddess: That can not be admitted, he is the one who is chosen to be Brendan's replacement.

Heroic Task-Force Beast Knights
Opening theme: "Born For This" by Paramore

Scott sits in the farthest corner of the enormous hall. He is crying his eyes out as his face is digging into his knees. Brendan lay exactly where he had been since they arrived, everyone had powered down as they explained the situation to Scott. The explanation in short, they (Becky, Isaac, Liz and Mike) are a secret force that fights behind the scenes to protect the Earth from an evil sorcerer, who is hell-bent on the planets total destruction. He has traveled across dimensions and the length of the cosmos to exact revenge on a chance encounter between him and the group’s matriarch and mentor. One of a long line of forgotten deities, she resides inside the moon that is our satellite that traverses around the Earth. She is so ancient a deity that she has even forgotten her own name. Each of the Beast Knights is at one point given a special ring, which utilizes the ancient elements of the planet and when in dire need they can call upon beasts that live in there given rings to oversee their tasks. Which is, to thwart the sorcerer Gaap's plans.
Liz tries desperately to console Becky who has also broken down and is uncontrollably weeping over Brendan's lifeless body. Isaac and Michael are hovering around Scott trying to take their minds off of their friend and leaders death.
Isaac: Are you done crying? (He nudges Scott with his foot. Scott continues to hug his knees as he begins to stifles back his tears.) So have you decided? Are you going to give up the ring? You still have time to be normal?
Scott: I don't think... after today... after what happened? I don't think I can ever go back to being normal! And don't you dare talk down to me, you're not that much older than me. (Mike kneels next to Scott.)
Mike: Hey, Scott... Are you alright? (Scott notices that Mike is just barely being able to hold back his own tears. Isaac frustrated kneels down and smacks Scott across the face, forcing him to fall into Mike.)
Isaac: Didn't you hear! I said quit crying! You are a man, aren't you! I've never seen Brendan balling his eyes out. (As he begins popping his knuckles.) If you aren't giving up the ring, then you'll have to join us... take up Brendan's place. (He stands and pops his neck before returning a sour glare down upon Scott.) But you're not our leader! (Both Scott and Mike stands up. Scott now furious punches Isaac in the jaw knocking him back a few steps.)
Scott: Hey, I haven't committed to anything! Have you realized what has just happened! My best friend just died! He died trying to save me! What the hell is wrong with you! Do you not have any feelings? (Mike notices the tension is rising as he quickly steps in-between the two.)
Mike: Yeah, I-sack, what the hell is wrong with you! (Taking some of the heat off of Scott. Isaac pushes Mike away as both of them turn away from each other as Scott sits back down and Isaac walks away. From across the room they can hear Becky still crying. The Goddess is still standing by Brendan's body. Emotionless and idol-like.)
Goddess: He fought so bravely, that is what you all should remember of him. He has hand selected you to be his comrades, believing that you would be able to go on, to finish out the mission. (Becky looks up and tries to stop herself from continuing to cry but the tears continue to flow. Liz stands up.)
Liz: Goddess, how are we supposed to continue? He was our leader? He helped train us! We can't ask Scott to step in and shoulder those responsibilities, asking him to take his place that's asking way too much. (The Goddess raises her hand and Liz fell silent.)
Goddess: What is the oath of a Beast Knight? (The four of them stand silent, averting their eyes as if this could prevent them from hearing her. Calmly, she repeats herself.) What is the oath of the Beast Knights? (Isaac who is only a quarter of the way towards the girls begins, his voice trembling.)
Isaac: A... a Be... Beast Knight... Knows... Knows no bounds... No boundaries, or borders of human creation. (Liz follows him with a deep conviction in her voice.)
Liz: a Beast Knight serves the Goddess with all their being, never faltering or giving in to the darkness. Whether it is created by the sorcerer or by that which lays within your own hearts. (Michael stands and looks uneasy.)
Mike: A Beast Knight cannot mourn a comrade who has been fell in the pursuit of accomplishing the mission. (They all look at Becky who wipes her tears and stands. Her voice weak but the words come out clear.)
Becky: A Beast Knights never truly dies but lives on forever as part of those that have come before them and those who have yet to arrive. (They then all turn and look at Scott. The Goddess disappears from Brendan's dead side and reappears next to him.)
Goddess: A Beast Knight chooses their own successor and if that Knight could not choose, then the choice lies with the next highest ranked, a Knight serves for as long as they are able to. Most are never baptized in the fray of combat, but served their places with pride. You have been chosen as the new Lizard Knight, Beast Red. The passion of a courageous heart lays within you. Burning with a fiery resolve to prove your mettle. Where is the sign of your Knighthood? (Scott pulls out the ring. It begins to shine subtly in his hand.) Do you vow to take on the oath of the Beast Knight?
Scott: (Looks up at the Goddess and drops the ring. Its chime resounds in the enormous chamber as it bounces on the limestone/marble floor.) I can't decide anything? There are four other Knights, and Isaac has sure made it obvious that he doesn't think I'm capable to take on Brendan's ring, so I guess I'll just give it up. Can you take me home... please. (The Goddess nods her head as light surrounds Scott. He now stands outside his parent’s house.)

Mike: Goddess!? Why did let him leave? What are you thinking? (Before the Goddess has a chance to reply. Isaac makes his voice heard.)
Isaac: That's fine with me. Not like he would've made even half the man Brendan was... err, is.
Liz: Isaac! Seriously? Shut the hell up! If you are the reason that he doesn't become Beast Red. (Isaac turns and glares at Liz.)
Isaac: No, you shut the hell up! He could NEVER become Beast Red! You hear me! He'll never be my... our leader! Do none of you see that?! He'd drag us down and probably get us all killed.
Mike: Isaac, you didn't even give him the chance! You hit him and badgered him! At least if he had chosen to be Beast Red we could have helped him get good! So what if the sorcerer attacks now, huh? At least Scott could have called Lucermiglia and we could form Arch-Knight Tellur. But no... Because you had to assert your self as the resident asshole of this team you cut us all off at the legs! You're a stupid bastard! (And just as Isaac was about to rebuttal. Becky stands up.)
Becky: All of you can you just be quiet, for one minute! (She is still wiping tears from her eyes.) No one can EVER replace Brendan I think that is obvious but Scott is our safest bet. Even if he sucks at being a Beast Knight he can't be any worse than we were when Brendan chose us?

1 year ago, outside Aurora High-school. Brendan is leaning up against a wall by the one of the school's main entrances. The school bell rings as students quickly begin flood out of the building. He catches a glimpse of the leader of the Gothic influenced gang, the Mournful Maniacs. The two share a passing glance as Isaac suddenly stops dead in his stride with a cocky smirk on his face as his cronies begin to surround Brendan.
Isaac: Looky here, it's goody-boy Brendan. (Members of Isaac's pose start surrounding Brendan some of the guys start nudging him as passersby slow their pace, anticipating the break out of a fight.)
Hugo: Golden-boy B on the scene. (A stocky square-headed boy. He resembles an overgrown pincushion. This was followed by the mocking tone of Skivvy, another Maniac nicknamed for his low riding pants.)
Skivvy: Golden-boy, Golden-boy! (Isaac pushes them aside and gets up close to Brendan.)
Brendan: Isaac, I'd like to speak to you about something. (Isaac scoffs and looking amused replies.)
Isaac: So what did you want to talk to me about? Don't tell me that you're finally looking for that fight?
Brendan: No, I came to talk to you about, (looking around him and finally breaking the calm he had managed to hold this entire time.) about something, but can I talk to you alone.
Isaac: Sorry, that's a no can do. You wanna talk to me. Then you have to talk to my gang also.
Brendan: Alright then... (Brendan nervously twists the ring on his thumb, in less time then it took for each of them to gasp for air they lay on the ground. Coughing, straining themselves for air to breathe.) You have been selected to become a Knight to the Goddess.
Isaac: What... have you been smoking? (As Isaac make a pot smoking gesture. Brendan smiles warmly at him as Isaac begins to get pissed.) Ya'dick! (As he swings and Brendan reverses his punch pulling him into the wall. Isaac hits it hard and falls to the ground. Brendan leans in close and whispers to him.)
Brendan: Do you want to know how I can move so fast and how I got so strong?
Isaac: If it'll get you the **** away of me! (Brendan helps him up as he turns, looking pissed about at something in the distance.)
Brendan: Okay, Goddess. (They are both enveloped in light. They appear in the same large room with the her majestic grace, standing before them both. Isaac falls back letting out a horrified scream.)
Goddess: Is this he? (Brendan takes a knee in front of her and nods his head. He turns his head and smirks at Isaac.)
Brendan: Yep, the perfect candidate for Beast Knight Blue.
Isaac: What the hell? Are you serious?

A few days later, Mike is walking out of the Mr. Doughnut's shop carrying a large 48 pack or as Mike will refer to them as, "The lovely glazed chocolate sprinkled powdered confection born from the celestial rings of heaven itself!" he is smelling the aroma fuming from the box and trying to resist himself from devouring the entire box now. Mike feels that familiar feeling of nostalgia as he holds the warm box of fresh doughnuts. Then suddenly Mike is on the ground, his box of flying up in the air, and as the box flips around it seems to turn in slow motion as the doughnuts sputter out, when the box hits the ground it of course lands upside down.
Just as he begins to assess to damages to see what could still be salvaged. A foot comes crushing down atop the box. It was Mike's most revolted rival/bully Reznik, Aaron Reznik. A brash, disturbed escapee from the Cenozoic era. He had smaller than average eyes that were set a little too close together. His brow slightly enlarged but his jaw line was fairly petite. But he had a mouth on him that drove absolutely everyone to anger.
Aaron: Aw, too bad about the doughnuts? (As Aaron got a look on his face that spoke leagues of his malice to most human beings.) Oh, that's right. Doesn't someone owe me an apology?
Mike: For what? (Mike continues to stare at the ruined guilty pleasure) You're the one that bumped into me. Matter of fact.
Aaron: What'd you say? Punk! (As he kicks Mike in the head and before Mike realized what just happened Aaron is leaning down over him grabbing him by the collar and pushing him up against the store window.) I don't apologize to anyone! (He pulls his hand back; Mike tightly closes his eyes awaiting the beat down of a lifetime. The short period of time passes as Mike slowly opens one of his eyes. Brendan is standing in front of him. He smiles and holds out a small box of Mr. Doughnut's. doughnuts)
Brendan: I saw what happened? Hope this can make up for it. (Mike pouts a little but the vision of Mr. Doughnut's in front of him, he cannot resist as his frown quickly turns into a smile.)
Mike: Thanks, hey, aren't you Brendan? We're in World Civics together.
Brendan: Yeah, with Doc. Neimi. Hey, can I talk to you about something? (Mike nods his head and shrugs his shoulders as they begin to walk. As they walk away Aaron let's out a meek yelp. Stung up by his boxers he is having what will be dubbed by the firefighters the Astro-weggie for it's defiance of gravity and Aaron lack of knowledge about how he got stuck on a lamp post 30 feet in the air.
Brendan and Mike end up walking the whole of Aurora. From the Mr. Doughnuts to the Family Dollar on the other end of town, then all the way back to Mike's front steps. Mike seems deep in thought as they both sit down on the steps.
Mike: So there is a sorcerer who wants to destroy Earth? All because a Goddess whopped him in a fair fight?
Brendan: Yeah, pretty much. (Mike finishes off the remainder of the second doughnut he was given. Mike stands and brushes his hands off on his jeans.)
Mike: Well, I'm in. (Brendan is taken aback.)
Brendan: Really? Even if that means you might die? (Mike leans back up against the front door and looks up towards the sky.)
Mike: It's true that I'll probably die against the Sorcerer, but you probably wouldn't be asking someone like me if the Earth wasn't on it's last leg. I'll do it, but because it's for my grandma, she's all the only family I have left. I owe her more than my life. I owe her. I'll do it for her. (Brendan pulls out a green ring and tosses it at Mike. Who easily snatches it out of the air.)
Brendan: Then congratulations you're Beast Knight Green. (Brendan begins to walk away. He stops and turns back looking at Mike.) Meet me tomorrow; I'll introduce you to the Boss. (Mike smiles as he slips the ring onto his middle finger.)

Liz is outside the school diving-pool doors sitting with her circle of friends, who're all smoking cigarettes and talking about causes that they could jump on board. She is sitting with her back against the wall. Taking a deep drag off of the cigarette the group of 5 were sharing.
Emma: There's always the baby seal's?
Drake: Nah, that's been done to death. What about... saving the forest?
Bella: How about no, bugs live there. I say we save the animals from the pound.
Gary: What are you completely off your rocker! I'd agree with Drake we should each go out and chain ourselves to trees.
Liz: Um, I don't think any of the ideas you've come up with sound good, at all.
Drake: Well you haven't come up any good ideas? (Just as Liz is about to rebuttal Brendan approached the group.)
Brendan: How about putting your life on the line to stop a great evil from destroying the world? (They all turn looking annoyed with his statement.)
Bella: Um, 'ella. This isn't some comic book?
Everyone (minus Liz): Yeah.
Liz: Seems kind of fun? Getting to live out some childhood idea of being able to single handedly save the world. And you need us? (Liz smothers the cigarette on the school wall. As the group looks defiantly towards Brendan.)
Brendan: Well, I only need you Liz. Can we talk a moment? (As Brendan gestures for them to leave. Liz shrugs her shoulder as Drake and Gary stand blocking her way.)
Drake: What the hell? Just because your Golden-boy Brendan doesn't mean you can just show up at our meetings and take away one of our founding members!
Gary: Yeah! (As Gary pushes Brendan only knocking him a few steps back.)
Liz: Stop it. (She pushes past her friends.) Brendan, are you okay? (Brendan shrugs his shoulders and brushes off his shirt.) Let's go. (As she looks back and glares at Drake and Gary, the two of them walk away heading up the block towards the Tacora.)
Bella: (Let's out a sigh.) I wish I could go on a walk with Brendan? He's such a great guy. (This causes both the boys to turn looking even more frustrated by Brendan's presence.)
Emma: Yeah, he is a real nice guy.
They walk down to the Tacora as Brendan explains the mission to her; she looks at him skeptically but continues to listen waiting for him to finish, so she can ask her questions. Liz may be a troublemaker in school, but when it came to Brendan like many others she holds an immense respect for him. He has a very calming air about him and a person just naturally feels comfortable in his presence. She felt a sincerity in his words and an urgency in the tone his voice struck.
They finally take a seat down at one of the picnic tables next to the front doors of the Tacora; she looks at the holes and carvings in the old wooden table as she thinks over Brendan's story.
Liz: So why were you given the authority to choose the other Beast Knights? Why didn't this... this Goddess come find us herself?
Brendan: She said it's not her place. Only a Beast Knight can choose their successors... or their fellows. That is the deal.
Liz: So then, where are the other Beast Knights, I mean, you aren't the only one were you?
Brendan: Well, no, there was a team... (Brendan seemed to trail off. He began to circle one of the knots with his finger. Then he shakes his head.) Sorry, I didn't call you out to talk about what happened in the past. (He stands up, stepping up onto the bench they are sitting on. He extends his hand down to her.) Would you like to meet her? (Liz smiles and shakes her head.)
Liz: Sure. (As she climbs up and jokingly grabbing Brendan's hand.)
They are transported to the secret sanctuary of the Goddess. She appears in her flowing Kabuki attire. Liz mouth gapes open as Brendan again takes a knee.
Goddess: This is the cat knight correct? (Liz is still dumbfounded, as the Goddess looks her over.) She has the right spirit. But perhaps she'll be too afraid of the Sorcerer's golem legions.
Brendan: I don't think that'll be the case, everyone is afraid of them, at first. (The Goddess nodded her head in agreement as a yellow ring began to levitate down to Liz.)

And a few days after that Becky is sitting in the art room, working on her next masterpiece. The room’s lights are shut off. The oil paint is smudged all over her overalls, her hair tied back in a single braid ponytail. She eyes over her work, she stirs the paint on her pallet with her finger. She thumbs the painting mixing the canvas paint with the paint on her fingers. She steps back and looks at the painting. Then she hears a knock on the doorframe as she turns. Brendan smiles as he walks in. They share a silent moment as they speak leagues without uttering one single word. Brendan brushes some of Becky's hair from out of her eyes tucking it behind her ears.
Brendan: Afternoon Becky, how's the masterpiece coming?
Becky: Alright, I don't know what it's missing though?
Brendan: I'm sure, Ms. Belling you will figure it out since you’re going to be the next Monet.
Becky: Well, I bet Monet never had trouble capturing a sense of nature. But I'm going for more of a Dali than anything with this one.
Brendan: You'll do Dali proud I'm sure. (A degree of seriousness comes over Brendan's otherwise serious exterior.) Say, can I to talk to you about something. (Becky turns as Brendan holds a pink colored ring in front of her.)

Isaac: That was different back then, back then we didn't know what was going on? Brendan was just an overachiever. (The four Beast Knight are all now sitting around Brendan's dead body.) He was Mr. Perfect.
Mike: He's still Mr. Perfect. (As Mike nudges Isaac smiling weakly at him.)
Liz: One year ago, he came to us to help him, four completely different people, who were asked to do the impossible.
Becky: It wasn't that we were so different it's just that we didn't have the goal to draw us together.
Mike: Scott wasn't lucky like us?
Becky: Yeah, he didn't get to be trained by Brendan.
Liz: No, he has us... (As they all look over at Isaac, who shoulders drop as he begins to look annoyed.)
Isaac: What?
Mike: Fess up, Isaac. You're pissed at Scott.
Isaac: Yeah, I guess, I am. Brendan wasn't supposed to die. He is stronger then all of us. Was stronger...
Becky: He's really gone.
Liz: And what about Scott? Brendan must have chose Scott with a reason in mind?
Isaac: You don't think it may have been just because he was there?
Mike: That's not Brendan's style. He always is... was one step ahead of that dumb-ass Sorcerer. I don't think it was a mere coincident.
Becky: Me either. Brendan must have always planned for Scott to take his place.
Liz: Then that must means that this was his plan for us to teach Scott?
Isaac: To show him the ropes, huh? This is only a theory but if that was his intentions then Brendan was dumber than we ever gave him credit for.

Okay, so I'm almost finished up with the edits to chapter 3 so that should be up shortly, probably sometime later this week with any luck. But I got in the mood to do more of the characters from Beast Knight I know that I could be doing more with my time but hey, I have little to no life and well, I like to play with that creator. So here are the knights the predate the four (being Isaac, Becky, Mike and Liz.)

First is who Isaac took the place of Former Crab Knight, Kiesha. After her is the holder of the Snake Beast Ring, Vivian. I've always had a thing about Green Rangers in my works being girls. Next, the former holder of the Yellow Beast Ring, Chris. Same with yellow, I have had a history of making them the resident tough-guy of the group and the last one being the former Pink Beast Knight, Adriana.

Heroic Task-Force Beast Knights
Opening theme: "Born For This" by Paramore

Scott stands outside his house. He looks up at the trees and sees the moon clearly even out in the clearness of day. He rolls his head back around as he feels the tears begin to fill his eyes again. He takes a step towards the house as he is suddenly tackled. Everything around him jumbles as next he realizes he is now about two blocks away from his parent’s house. The joggling of a new Golem's two eyes as they try to maintain a steady focus on Scott but it seems everything else around it is catching its attention.
Ad-Dajjal: Thought I'd forgotten you monkey? Where's the ring the Lizard gave you, we know you Beast Knights hand'um off when your time runs out. (Scott's throat tightens up as he finds himself at a loss for words. Ad-Dajjal motions his head as the Golem pick's Scott up with its large clawed hands. The Goth-rocker lays into Scott punching him multiple times as the golem restrains him with its inhuman strength.)

Back with the other's Brendan's body begins to take on a magical sparkle. In their astonishment they rise but as they do, his body dematerializes, flowing towards the Goddess and into the Red Beast Ring.
Isaac: What the?!
Liz: Goddess, what happened to Brendan?
Goddess: Brendan has gone on where all former Beast Knights go. Their spirits meet in the afterlife but their power lives on in the ring. (Just then a loud banging resounds in the room. The Goddess raises her hand as a window opens before them. First showing the Earth, then flashes to the United States, then to Aurora, then to Scott as he hung on the Golem's arms as Ad-Dajjal continues to punch him where ever his fist could land an opening.)
Liz: Oh my god! Scott!
Goddess: Even if Scott refuses to admit it, he is a Beast Knight.
Becky: Goddess, we have to get to him.
Mike: But even if we do, that guys the one that killed Brendan. How do you think we'll fair against him? (Isaac begins to laugh out loud. Everyone turns to look at him. All thinking that he has finally lost it.)
Isaac: Does it really matter?! Beast Knights to arms! (They all raise their ring hands. The rings twinkle as they disappear from the Moon hall. The Goddess continues to watch as they appear on the screen. This however wasn't unnoticed by the golem and Ad-Dajjal as he lands one more punch before moving in front of the clay monster. Scott winces in pain as he tries to struggle loose.)
Ad-Dajjal: I thought I'd have to wait to defeat the rest of you Monkeys! You did me a favor.
Isaac: Shut the **** up! We're here for him! (As Isaac points at Scott, Ad-Dajjal stands with his arms crossed he motions back with his head.)

Ad-Dajjal: Him!? So, he really is Lizard-boy's replacement. (He begins to laugh a high-pitch nasally laugh.) Right, he doesn't even know how to use that ring yet does he? Bet you were all crying in a little group over Lizard-boy's. Trying to lick all your pathetic wounds... Damn you monkeys make me sick! (But during his speech the Knight's suited up with their respective elements disappearing back into the void.)
Isaac: Cool as the swelling ocean, Crab Knight, Beast Blue!
Mike: Exciting as the lightning rolling through the skies, Snake Knight, Beast Green!
Liz: Constant as the Earth rumblings beneath my feet, Cat Knight, Beast Yellow!
Becky: Encouraging as the wind howling all around me, Peacock Knight, Beast Pink! (They all strike fierce stances as they draw their Beast Swords.)
Ad-Dajjal: Yet, I never tire of seeing you rainbow colored monkey's costume up and lay out those sickeningly corny sayings. (He looks over at the golem.) Wonder what yours would be? Uraagh! Rawr! Ra~awr! Pssh, kid's stuff. (He begins to laugh to himself as he turns back around as the Beast Swords are beginning to glow.)
Isaac: Heartbeat Stream! (Water streams out of the tip of Isaac's sword and drenches Ad-Dajjal knocking him back into Scott and the golem. Mike is about to move in when Isaac stops him.) Shit, I knocked him in to Scott and the Golem... If you use Lightning Roll you'll hurt Scott.
Mike: Well smooth move Mr. I'll-attack-without-thinking! (But by this time Ad-Dajjal had gotten back onto his feet.)
Ad-Dajjal: Shouldn't matter if your teammates in the way, as long as you get the job done! (He pulls out a sword that looked similar to the Beast Swords, except for its dark and twisted nature. He swings it across, sending a shockwave of dark energy through at them knocking all the Beast Knights back. Sparks showering from their suits, Becky and Mike flying back hitting a parked car, Isaac flies into a tree and Liz soars into a street lamp causing it to fall to the street shattering the bulb. Just then Buer and Ziz arrive on the scene, Buer is carrying a large crate with Ziz carrying a small saddlebag over her shoulder. They look pleased with their comrade.)
Buer: Ad, we found a storehouse of the materials master needs!
Ziz: But we need help getting the last part.
Ad-Dajjal: Can't you see that I'm in the middle of finishing them off!
Ziz: Master said to leave them and help us collect it.
Buer: Yeah, he said so! (Isaac begins to stand and holds his sword out pointing it at the three of them.)
Isaac: Who said... Anything about us... Letting you leave here alive?! (As the other Beast Knights begin to rise.)
Becky, Liz & Mike: Yeah! (The Three Stooges begin to laugh.)
Buer: In your state, we could just pick you off!
Ziz: Without even breaking a sweat, I mean, look how easy it was to kill Lizard-boy! (Ad-Dajjal took a step towards them.)
Ad-Dajjal: Yeah, my blade skewered through his body like a hot knife through butter. (The four Beast Knights in a moment of weakness blindly charged forward, letting their combined rage takes over their judgment. The three of them dispatched each effectively and quickly. As they lay on the ground in pain Buer turns and looks at Scott who is still in the Golem's grip.)
Buer: Who's this? A new playmate for the Golem? (Ad-Dajjal looks up from stepping on Isaac's throat.)
Ad-Dajjal: No, he's the replacement for Lizard-boy, but he can't even use the ring. Pretty laughable isn't it? (As Buer and Ziz walk up to Scott.)
Ziz: Can we play with him a bit? The materials aren't going anywhere; I'd love to make him scream. (As she begins stroking Scott's face.)
Buer: I'd love to watch that. (Ziz turns and smacks him in his large cushion-like head.)
Ziz: If I didn't know better I'd think you were one of the monkey's Buer? (Buer rubs the spot she smacked.)
Buer: Bet the monkey'd like it even more. Probably you'll be the first one to break him in? (As they share the same perverse thought.)
Ad-Dajjal: What ever you do? Do it fast. I don't like making the Master wait. (Buer licks his lips as he pulls out one of his swords.)
Buer: I'm itching to destroy something? (Ziz turns away from Scott. Motioning towards the downtown.)
Ziz: Then, let's head out and destroy some of this town!
Ad-Dajjal: And we'll get Master's materials. Two birds. (As they all turn away and get ready to leave.) We'll meet again new Lizard-Boy so don't go and get killed just like that monkeys. (The golem lets Scott go, as he collapses to the ground. The three vanish, as the golem remains staring at the Beast Knights. Then its eyes begin to rapidly search the sky and then it lunges high into the air. Leaping far off form them.)
Mike: Scott. (As Mike begins to slowly rise to his feet. The others following suit.)
Liz: Are you all right? (Scott begins to laugh; though it is obvious he is still in pain.)
Scott: What are you guys even good for? And what's with worrying about me? You're all hurt.
Isaac: We came to save you? (He said as he got onto his feet.)
Becky: I know this doesn't look much like a rescue, but it was.
Scott: That's because it wasn't. I can't believe you guys let them get away. (As he punches the ground. Then he stands as people start to come out of their houses.)
Liz: Goddess, where did the Three Stooges go?
Mike: Yeah, where's Mr. Potato head as long as we're inquiring?
Goddess: (speaking directly to the Beast Knights minds, including Scott.) They have disappeared, or they are using magic that cloaks their presence.
Isaac: (Punches his hand and curses. The Beast Knights notice all the attention but try to act nonchalant.)
Scott: Have a good night guys. (Mike begins waving.)
Mike: Happy Birthday, Scott... (Becky and Liz smack the back of Mike's head.)
Becky: Hey, Scott, (as Becky walks up to him.) Don't shy away from us now, if you ever need to talk?
Scott: I'll be sure to talk to my parents. (Scott pauses as he bites into his lower lip before he turns walking into his parent’s house.)
Mike: This is really bad guys what'll we do if Scott doesn't accept the Beast Ring?
Isaac: We'll have to manage somehow. (As Isaac began to walk away from the group.) Well, I'm heading home. See you guys on Monday.
Liz: What? Aren't we gonna go look for the Stooge's or at least the Golem.
Isaac: Goddess said they disappeared. They'll turn up and when they do that is when we'll get them. (As Isaac blurs away.)
Liz: Well, I guess that makes sense... I'll be heading home then myself, hey Becky you want to walk home together. (Becky shrugs her shoulders then nods her head.)
Becky: Sure, hey! You wanna stop at... (They blur away from Mike as he continued to stand in the middle of the street.)
Mike: Well, I guess I'll see you guys later... (Mike notices that everyone had returned to their houses as he decides to power down, he stands outside Scott's house a few minutes. Before he begins to walk down the street.)

Mike only lives a few blocks from Scott but their parts of town were like day and night. Not saying that Aurora was a large City, it was a moderate to small town. Scott living in a newer part of town where as Mike lived in one of the older parts. He walked up past a local dive that was less than a block from his house and looked in his wallet, being that he was sort of hungry. He had less money then he remembered but shrugged it off. As he reached the front door he could hear the blare of some western playing inside. He reached for the doorknob and saw that it was locked, again. He tipped over the porcelain gnome and grabbed the extra key. The door loudly squeaked as he stepped inside. Suddenly his younger brother Nick, who was flying a F-21 model around, blitzes him.
Nick: Where have you been? Grandma's been looking for you? (A sudden jolt of fear twitches in his stomach. He pushes past Nick and runs into the living room. His grandmother is sitting asleep on the coach in front of the television. Mike walks in as if he's walking on eggshells and up to the coach. Gently nudging her.)
Mike: Gran'ma... Gran'ma... (She awakens looking up at him dreamily.)
Mike's Grandma: D'you just get in? (Mike nods his head.) D'you eat? (Mike shakes his head.) I ordered in.
Mike: Did you take you're meds yet? (She looks up at the pine clock that Mike had made in shop 2 years ago. Her eyes widen when she sees what time it is.)
Mike's Grandma: Already eight thirty... Where have you been mister? (As she turns off the television to listen to his reply. Nick also is hover by the door.)
Mike: It was with my friend Scott... Scott Mueller, it was his birthday today... and I, I went to the Tacora with some of my co-worker friends. (She looks at him skeptically for a minute then sheds her inquisitive face, turning the TV back on. Mike could never tell if she knew he was only telling her half of what happened. But if she lets it go, it was best not to think about it. Mike silently went into the kitchen and picked up her medicine holder. He popped open the day of the week and saw that the pills still sat in the container; he dropped them into his hand and walked to the sink. Pulling a glass from the dish rake he poured a glass of water, then turned back and walked into the television room. He set the pills next to his grandmother's remote and patted her shoulder.
He leaves the room and walks down the hallway to his bedroom, which he shares with his younger brother. A small television sits on the floor with a Super Nintendo and a plethora of aged games strewn about. His bed was unmade with white and polka-dotted sheets. He looks sadly at his room and decides to go to bed early.)

A few weeks later, Scott has at this point avoided everyone of the Beast Knight at school as if they had the Bubonic Plague. Though Liz and Mike have made the attempted to talk to him, but he cannot seem to be able to face them yet. Now even avoiding the gaze of Becky's, who only a short time ago would have done pretty much anything to get. Isaac was the only member who didn't seem to heart broken over the ignoring, almost taking prideful acknowledgment in it. Brendan's death has been written up as a missing persons incident, by both the school and the police.
Lindsay: Yeah, there's a Dianetics building near the Water Refinery. (One of Mike and Scott's classmates. Lindsay and Mike stand around their lockers during lunchtime.)
Bradley: Why do we have a Dianetics Building in town? (Another classmate.)
Mike: Well, it's a free country. Personally, I wouldn't join. I hear they brainwash. (Liz walks up to the other three overhearing first from Bradley's comment.)
Liz: What proof do you have of that?
Mike: My own conspiracy theory, that and the fact that Ron L. Hubbard was a homosexual pedophile. (Becky arrives just then, looking appalled.)
Becky: Michael! Don't say that about someone, you don't know him! (Mike giggles at Becky's complaint. Then they spot Scott as he walks up to his locker, it looks as though death just passed over him. He looks drained both mentally and physically. Becky, Liz & Mike share a collective glance at one another. Mike nods his head and begins to walk over towards Scott.)
Mike: (Walking up very slowly.) Hey, Scott. How's it going? (Scott slams his locker shut and turns his head glaring at Mike. Before he begins to walk away.) Scott, wait! (Mike grabs his arm.)
Scott: What?! (As Scott pushes Mike, who looks a bit frightened by the anger in Scott's voice.)
Mike: Do you want to talk about it? Brendan was my friend too. (Mike didn't realize when it happened but he awoke to Liz shaking him. It was about then that he realized that Scott had punched him.)
Liz: Mike? Hey, are you okay? (Mike nodded his head as he felt a slight headache shaking up his thoughts.)
Becky: Someone needs to have a talk with him? Maybe, I'll go over to his house after school. (Mike stood up.)
Mike: Hey, I'll go with you. No sense you walking there alone.

After school, Becky and Mike walked their way to Scott's house. This was something Becky felt adamant about this. She was not a person that would normally put herself into someone else's business. But Scott seemed to be screaming for someone to talk to and even if all he did was scream at them. That would be something. Even someone in pain needs to vent, sometimes. Mike seemed nervous, but that was only natural. She too felt a certain amount of nervousness about this.
Mike: So, are you wanna try to convince him?
Becky: I just want to talk to him; it wasn't fair when you considered everything. It's be kind of unnatural if he didn't feel upset about it... (Becky got quiet as she began to think about things again. They walked up to Scott's house and heard nothing. Mike lightly knocked on the door. After a few minutes of silence he knocked again, then he heard someone walking up. The door opens as Scott's sister, Colleen greats them. She's still in elementary school, going to be moving to the high-school next year. She could be Scott's more feminine twin if it wasn't for the age difference.)
Colleen: You looking for Scott?
Mike: Yup.
Colleen: He's in the garage. So just go around and he'll be there.
Becky & Mike: Thanks. (She closes the door, as the two of them look at each other a bit confused. The closer they got to Scott they began to hear a My Chemical Romance song and someone singing along. Then followed by a very loud smashing sound as they both looked at each other before running into the garage to find Scott all twisted up in a box of Christmas lights and power tools. As he pulls himself out of the mess of cords he turns to see them both standing there.)
Scott: Why are you guys here? Don't tell me that you’re going to try and convince me to join again? (Scott turns and goes back to trying to untangle the mess while crooning to the music that is blaring.)
Becky: No, we... I wanted to talk to you? (She walks up to him and takes a seat next to him and his mess.) You can't blame yourself for Brendan's death?
Scott: I don't. I blame the potato and the skeleton. (Frustrated at the cords he tosses the mass away from him. He leans back on his arms and looks up at the flickering fluorescent light that hung above them.) I'm not a leader; I don't even know how I'd even begin. You can't expect me to be able to pick up where Brendan left off.
Mike: We don't expect anything.
Becky: Scott, Brendan chose you as his replacement. (Scott ignoring them continued talking.)
Scott: He has always been good at whatever he set his mind on, school, sports... and girls. You never wondered why his nickname was the Golden Boy?
Becky: No, tell me? (She scoots around and leans her head onto her knees smiling warmly at Scott.)
Scott: You ever see that movie, the Golden Child? Eddie Murphy... Late 80's, well, your loss. Brendan could convince anyone of his point-of-view... I swear sometimes that I'd seen him revive butterflies. (Becky looks a little confused.) That's a joke; in the movie the kid... never mind. Just know that whatever Brendan put his mind on he accomplished. He's not a screw up like me. (Becky laid her hand onto Scott's.)
Becky: Maybe you just haven't had the right opportunity? (Scott looked at her hand on his, and then the bubble popped. He looked at her with a scowl and pulled his hand away from hers. He stands up and picks the mess of cords up also.)
Scott: Thanks for the chat. But I'm not a hero; I'll never be one... Because heroes are that when they die. I'm not dead nor am I as virtuous as Brendan.
Mike: Scott, what is wrong with you? We know that you aren't Brendan, no one is? This is your chance to shine! No one is comparing you to Brendan so you shouldn't.
Scott: I know what I am and what I'm not! Find someone else. (Mike feed up kicks a locker full of metal things as they clank upon impact.)
Mike: There is no one else! Maybe Isaac's right about you... you're just a coward.
Scott: Then leave!! I'm not making you stay here! (Mike fumes as he turns and leaves. Becky gets up and brushes off her jeans.) That applies to you as well.
Becky: You don't wonder why he chose you as his replacement? You know he had a way with people, he was never wrong about a person... (She turned and began to leave, stopping as she reaches the door. She turns back as Scott watches her.) But maybe, he could have always been wrong? (Scott stood there speechless, he thought back to the car ride that last day Brendan picked him up. "What you want to do with your life?" Scott groaned as he drops the mass of plastic.)
Goddess: Beast Knights! Get to the water treatment plant. A golems appeared! (Becky and Mike raise their ring hands as they are transformed into their respective attire. They blur into streaks of green and pink.)

As Becky and Mike arrive at the water treatment plant. They see the two-eyed golem walking by one of the main buildings. Isaac and Liz arrive just after them.
Liz: So how'd talking to you know who go?
Mike: As well as you'd think.
Becky: I think I could have... (Isaac cuts off Becky as he pulls out his Beast Sword.)
Isaac: Let's save this conversation for after we destroy the Golem. (The Golem stops as its eyes turn and focuses on them.)
Golem: Back... Off... (The three Beast Knight are halted in their tracks. As Mike's mouth drops open a bit.)
Mike: Did it...
Becky: Just talk. (Isaac rushes forward and slashes at it. The blade is embedded into the Golems abdomen.)
Isaac: So it talks, we still have to beat it! (As Isaac can't pull his sword out, so he begins to punch the Golem. Who remains unaffected by it, in a flash it grabs Isaac by the throat, lifting him off of the ground it lands several hits before tossing him back.)
Liz: Landslide Striker! (Five large rock shaped spears fly past the Beast Knight impaling into the monsters clay-like flesh. Liz flashes her Beast Sword as she readies to continue her assault. The Golem flexes as the five rocks soar outward cutting through trees and impaling into the building. It turns as it rushes the four of them. Knocking them over, it then turns and launches into the processing plant by the weakened wall from the cracks made by the rocks from Liz's attack. Liz gets to her feet first and rushes into the building. Just as she get inside the Golem is pulling the lid off of one of the container the grotesque waters spill out and onto itself. She tries to back track but her foot slips on the sludge as she falls onto the ground. As the Golem passes over Liz she fells pieces of its skin. She tries to stand as she again looses her footing in the grim.
The Golem takes a step outside as Mike with Beast Sword in hand lunges at the Golem.)
Mike: Lightning Roll! (Lightning courses up the Golem's body as it stops, all but unaffected by his attack. Mike grits his teeth as energy surges up the blade of his Beast Sword.) I'm not letting you get away! Lightning Roll-!! (And again the attack is rendered unaffected by the golems crumbling skin. Becky is sitting atop a large tree branch, her Beast Sword charged with energy.)
Becky: Storm Flutter! (The blade strikes right down the center of the Golem's head. As Becky lands she spins around and impales her blade into the Sorcerer's Sigil. The Golem grimaces and begins to raise his bladed hand to swat Becky back as she looks down and grabs a hold of the second Beast Sword still embedded in it's abdomen. Next she realizes Isaac is right to her and he is grabbing a hold of his sword.)
Isaac: Alright! Let's do it together now!
Becky & Isaac: Blizzard! (Suddenly Mike impales his sword into the Golem's side. He nods his head, as the other two understand.)
Becky, Isaac & Mike: Blizzard Blitz! (As a amalgamation of the threes elements rake the Golem's body. All three continue to drive their blades into its body. The sigil illuminates then ignites in a bluish flame then crumbles to the ground. Liz comes walking out of the hole in the wall as sees all the action has passed.)
Liz: Well isn't that great. You guys get the fun part and I get crap. (The four of them power down, but Liz is still covered in sludge.)
Mike: That's kind of...
Isaac: You know that is the most literal thing you've ever said. (Liz looks down at herself and begins to look sick.)

Ending theme: "At the Stars" by Better Than Ezra
