The Power Rangers Fan Convention, coming Summer of 2010!

Coming in the Summer of 2010 is the second Power Rangers Fan Convention, the Power Morphicon. For those asking, "Second? When was the first and why didn't you tell us about it?" The first Power Morphicon was held in 2007 to coincide with the Power Rangers 15th Anniversary. As for why I never mentioned it on my sites, I don't know. I guess the main reason being this convention, while being open to Power Rangers fans of all ages, is more so meant for the adult fandom. Granted I am not saying that parents should not bring their children to the Power Morphicon next year, it's just that a lot of the panels & question sessions will be covering the behind the scenes & production stories.

This convention will be coinciding with the 15th Anniversary of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Movie. So, the next question most are probably asking, "Who from the is going to be there?". Well, here's a list of those who have committed thus far:

Well if it's in 2010 I have a year to save up and try to go but it's really difficult considering I'm only 18 and don't live anywhere close to where it's being held which is a bummer because I was really thinking an East Coast Con would let West Coast fans have a reason to come out and lets be honest, while NY can be disgusting in some parts, the city is effin amazing to be at.

I would really love to go since I missed the first one. I live pretty close to L.A., I just don't know if I'd be able to afford a train ride down there, a cab to a hotel, a hotel room, a cab ride to the convention, food, a cab ride back to the hotel, a cab ride to the train station, and a train ride back home. Also, I don't know if I could bring myself to ask questions of the panels and wait in line for autographs because I would just be such a nervous wreck trying to talk to people that were my childhood heroes.

I think going in a group is a best advice so far. It seems like it might be the least nerve racking. I mean I can imagine what 2580 might be going through but think about it this way. It might be your only chance to meet your childhood heroes.

Well, the guest list can still be updated, and has been a few times already, so Austin St. John may yet agree to attend!

If any graphics artists would like to make a mini OHA insignia that can be printed out and filled in, that might be cool. I unfortunatly cannot attend myself because I don't have the money, but I will spend as many hours as needed watching all the videos on Youtube, just like I did for the last morphicon.

However, convention rules ask that you not bother them if you see them outside the panels.

Speaking of Morphicon videos, I saw one where Firass Dirani (Nick, Red Mystic Ranger) appeared to be drunk. Yes, drunk. It might have been funny if not for the fact that he was in that condition in the presence of children.

Anyway, yeah, there are plenty of Morphicon videos. So, while it certainly would have been great to be there, at least we can still see a lot of what went on.

I think a good question to ask Bruce Kalish is why did you give up on PR. You were the only one keeping it alive. Its your fault its gone. Jungle Fury wasn't a bad show neither was mystic force. I liked spd. I only hated operation overdrive.

All PR conventions are always in California because most (or alot of them but not all) of the PR actresses/actors lives in California.
